The
Metroplex Economic Development Corporation (MEDC)
is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation established
by Bishop T.D. Jakes in 1998 to bridge the socio-economic
gap that exists in historically underserved
communities.
- The
vision of the MEDC is to empower and equip individuals,
families and entrepreneurs with hands-on, practical,
learn it today, use it today tools and strategies
to help them achieve economic empowerment.
- Our
core initiatives include, economic positioning
for individual and families which includes training
and development in the following areas: Financial/Credit
Management, Homeownership Acquisition and Retention
and Entrepreneur Training and Development for
new and existing business owners.
