faqs: consultation and referrals

 

does the medc provide individual business, credit or other consultation?

 

Due to the high volume of individuals we serve, the MEDC does not provide individual consultation unless such is provided for in the context of our workshops and seminars.

 

i need lawyer, can the medc refer a lawyer in my area?

 

No. the MEDC does not make referral for lawyers. To find a lawyer, please contact the State Bar of Texas at www.texasbar.com or (800) 204.2222.

 

i am an entrepreneur and am seeking business advise. Who should I contact?

If you are an entrepreneur seeking individual business guidance, we recommend that you contact one of the Small Business Association's SBDCs.

what workshops and seminars are offered by the medc?

Our upcoming workshops and seminars are always listed on our website www.medc-dallas.org under the news & events tab.  Detail descriptions of these events can be found under the Initiatives tab on our website.

 

are there registration fees for medc workshops and seminars?

 

Some of the MEDC Workshops and Seminars require registration fees and some are provided at no cost to the consumer.  However, all Workshops and Seminars require registration whether they are free or not.  Registration and fee information can be found by selecting the workshop or seminar on the News & Events tab at www.medc-dallas.org

does the medc provide its workshops and seminars in areas outside of the Dallas metroplex? 

 

No. The workshops and seminars offered by the MEDC are presented live and at this time are only offered in the Dallas Metroplex.  This could change in the future, please visit www.medc-dallas.org and select the News & Events tab for updates.

 

Are MEDC workshops exclusively for members of The Potter's House?

 

No. The MEDC serves the entire Dallas Metroplex.  All of our workshops and seminars are open to any individuals that desires to attend regardless of their geographical location, social, cultural, religious or ethnic affiliations.

I have a business idea that I would like to submit to the MEDC.  does the MEDC accept proposals?

Please be advised that the MEDC calendar is confirmed for 2009 and we are not accepting any new proposals at this time. Any updates to this policy will be located at www.medc-dallas.org under the News and Events tab.
